A Power That Cannot Be Bought

Simon the magician had amazed Samaria for years, but when Philip preached Christ, real power was revealed. Later Simon tried to buy the ability to give the Holy Spirit. From Acts 8:9–25, Pastor Aaron shows that we're drawn to whatever captures our attention and gives us a sense of control, that God's power is a gift to receive and can't be possessed, controlled or purchased, and that new hearts still fight old habits. As with Peter's call to Simon, the answer isn't trying harder. It's repentance and surrender to Jesus in every area of life.
