A Community of Generosity

The first believers were of one heart and soul, and no one called their possessions their own. In Acts 4:32–5:11, Pastor Aaron contrasts Barnabas, who gave joyfully, with Ananias and Sapphira, who wanted the applause of generosity without the surrender. Gospel unity changes how we view our possessions, gospel grace produces joyful sacrifice, and counterfeit generosity seeks applause instead of God's glory. Generosity isn't measured by the amount. It's measured by surrender, because God is after our hearts, not our wallets.
