A Community Empowered

Before the disciples could take the gospel to the ends of the earth, Jesus told them to wait for a power they could not create. Like Lewis and Clark learning to travel a river they didn't make, the church moves forward only on the current of God's Spirit. From the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:1–13, Pastor Aaron shows that God provides His presence for the mission and that the gospel has to move from the upper room to the streets, even the streets of Houma. Wherever it goes, people respond: some believe, some scoff, and God alone changes hearts. The church doesn't advance by human ingenuity. It advances because the risen Christ keeps working through Spirit-empowered people.
