A Community of Priority

As the church grew, a complaint arose that the Hellenist widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution. In Acts 6:1–7, Pastor Aaron walks through the problem, the solution and the outcome. A threat to the church's unity is met by entrusting Spirit-filled, qualified servants with the work, so the apostles can give themselves to prayer and the word. The result: God's word keeps spreading, and even many priests become obedient to the faith. The church entrusts qualified leaders with ministry so that every need is met, God's word advances, and every believer is equipped to serve.
